Richard Heyser

In this photograph, from the U.S. Library of Congress, Major Richard Heyser is pictured third-from-left. It was Heyser's mission, flying a U-2 spy plane over Cuba on 14 October 1962, which first confirmed the Soviet Union was installing ballistic missiles on the island.
