Scene in the Apennine Mountains

The Apennine Mountains, and their nearby valleys, are dotted with quaint villages.  Some of them have their roots in medieval Italy.  Because of their age, historic buildings in impacted towns were unable to withstand the damaging effects of the April 6th earthquake.
