The mystery
which binds me still

Edgar Allan Poe
Alone

No one had seen Poe - the man who made music with word rhythms - for several days.  No one even knew where to look for him.

On the fourth day of his disappearance, in October of 1849, someone found the disheveled poet in Baltimore.  Wearing clothes that weren't his, he was ill, incoherent and unable to explain where he'd been.

To this day, no one knows.

On that day, no one knew the pen of Edgar Allan Poe had already been silenced - for evermore.
