Doubting Thomas by Caravaggio Tragedies and Triumphs Philosophy Visual Arts

Thomas, one of the disciples, said he would not believe that Jesus was alive again unless he personally saw Him and touched his scars.  In this painting, by Caravaggio, Thomas accomplishes his mission.

Created between 1601-02, this work - entitled The Incredulity of Saint Thomas - is owned by the Sanssouci in Potsdam, Germany.
