In this historical footage, recorded by Thomas Edison’s film company, President McKinley’s funeral cortege initially makes its way through Washington, D.C. Thereafter, the President's remains are transported to his hometown (Canton, Ohio).
At about 3:00 into the clip, a huge crowd gathers as the body of the popular, assassinated President leaves his home in Canton.
Edison’s company later sold its movie for $12 (in 1901 dollars).
